What A Difference A Team Makes

When it comes to trees, Terra Landscape has all the bases covered.

For starters, our Terra Design team will help you choose the best trees for your sun/wind exposure, soil type, and Sunset Zone. We’ll make sure you get the right tree for the right spot.

Then our Terra Construction Division purchases the highest-quality trees, all grown in local nurseries. We double-check each tree upon delivery for healthy growth and good root structure then carefully plant the tree in the designated spot. Our time-tested methods for staking and irrigating young trees gets them off to their best start. We even include free structural pruning before planting to make sure the tree develops the best form.

We keep an eye out for the best specimens at local nurseries.
These young Red Maples were pre-pruned into a healthy shape before planting.

Once your trees are planted, Terra’s Maintenance teams take over their care. Careful attention is crucial during the first 2-3 years. While other companies tend to “plant it and forget it,” we make sure to remove the stakes at the proper time, adjust the irrigation as the tree gets established, and inspect trees regularly for early signs of stress from pests or diseases.

We planted these Persian Ironwoods (Parrotia persica ‘Vanessa’) in San Francisco’s historic Forest Hills.

For mature tree care, you can count on Tree Sculpture. We have more than 50 years of experience pruning, feeding, and supporting the health of Bay Area trees. If a damaged or sick tree can be saved, we’ll figure out the best plan. If it needs to be removed, we can do so safely and efficiently – and we’ll also grind out the stump.

Tea Trees (Leptospermum) bloom in shades from white to red. We’ve pruned these into an arch shape over the years.

After thanking your tree for its years of service, call Terra to help you decide on a replacement species. See above and repeat!

Over the past 10 years, we've pruned this Olive tree into a sculptural shape.
