Our Services

Since we cover all elements of landscape care, we can provide a holistic approach, including innovative designs, quality installations, thoughtful maintenance and water management, and first-rate tree care.

Our work is based on the knowledge and expertise that comes with decades of experience in the Bay Area, and we’ve been recognized by the California Landscape Contractors Association (CLCA) with dozens of awards for our work in maintenance of large and small commercial properties as well as for our customized designs / installations focused on water conservation and sustainability.

One thing that sets us apart from many competitors is our commitment to education and training. Our Supervisors are highly skilled, typically long-tenured employees who continually train our crews on client priorities and seasonally appropriate horticultural activities.

We were thrilled to be selected for a project at the Oakland Museum of California (OMCA), a leading cultural institution located between downtown and Lake Merritt. Working from the provided plans, we installed roughly 500 California-native trees, shrubs, and perennials around – but mostly on – the structure, which includes giant concrete planting beds from top to bottom. Yes, we planted oak trees on the building! Our crews prepared the planting areas by sheet-mulching and installing a drip irrigation system. Next came the…
The client asked us to replace a non-functional, water-guzzling lawn with drought-adapted perennials and groundcovers and now Bay Area commuters get to see our work every day! Ornamental grasses move with the wind, succulents offer year-round interest, and Star Jasmine perfumes the air. It’s like a nature drive among freeways! Creeping Myoporum spreads quickly and smothers most weeds. It thrives with very little water – best with a monthly soaking. Kikuyu grass is creeping in at the lower left hand corner, but that weed needs…
Earlier this year, our Tree Sculpture team was called to assess a row of struggling Evergreen Dogwoods in Berkeley. The trees were showing signs of stress, thinning foliage, and poor overall vigor during the winter months. While cooler weather and dormancy can sometimes make ornamental trees appear subdued, it was clear there were underlying health concerns contributing to their decline. After inspection, our arborists identified a combination of factors impacting the trees: Thrips activity affecting foliage health Nutrient…

One of the fun things about the landscaping business is that you never know who or where your next new client will be. Earlier this year, we received an inquiry from a luxury hotel on San Francisco’s storied Nob Hill. They needed help with the entry landscape and a few indoor spots, and they were under tight deadlines for their re-opening ceremony. We accepted the challenge! Conditions were crazy at the job site, with cable cars flying by and construction and delivery crews jostling for space, but we were able to slip in and…
