We’re excited to announce a new series on the Terra Landscape Journal, featuring insights from our company president, Cassidy Lundin. In his new role as CLCA East Bay Chapter Board President, Cassidy will share updates on how the California Landscape Contractors Association (CLCA) is making a positive impact in our local communities and shaping the future of sustainable, high-quality landscape practices.
The first post will feature his January 2025 “From the President” message from the CLCA East Bay Chapter’s Inside Scoop Newsletter. In this message, Cassidy reflects on the importance of collaboration, industry advocacy, and professional development as we move into the new year. We encourage you to follow along and learn how CLCA is working to elevate landscape professionals, strengthen industry standards, and support the communities we serve.

Dear CLCA East Bay Chapter Members,
I am honored to step into the role of President of the CLCA East Bay Chapter. As a second-generation owner of Terra Landscape and Tree Sculpture, I have had the privilege of leading our dedicated team for the past 14 years as we provide comprehensive landscape and tree care services throughout the Bay Area. My passion for water conservation and habitat preservation drives my commitment to creating sustainable solutions for the properties we manage.
One of the most rewarding aspects of this profession is the opportunity to engage directly with clients and solve the unique challenges they face. I also deeply value the partnerships we have with our vendors and the camaraderie with our industry peers who share a commitment to raising the standard of excellence and professionalism within our industry.
Beyond my professional endeavors, I am an avid nature enthusiast who finds inspiration in the beauty of our local ecosystems. On weekends, you’re likely to find me hiking with my wife, daughter, and our German Shepherd in one of the many East Bay Regional Parks.
I am grateful to follow in the footsteps of past chapter leaders who have set an exceptional example of service and leadership. My vision for the CLCA East Bay Chapter is to build upon their efforts by enhancing our role as a premier resource for timely, actionable training and professional development for our members. I am also focused on strengthening the value of membership by fostering a sense of connection and providing meaningful opportunities for growth and collaboration.
This monthly newsletter will serve as a key communication tool to keep you informed of our chapter’s priorities, upcoming events, and key initiatives impacting our industry. I encourage you to reach out with any questions, recommendations, or ideas. Your input is invaluable as we work together to drive our industry forward in 2025.
Thank you for your continued dedication and support. I look forward to collaborating with you and seeing what we can accomplish together.
Best regards,
Cassidy Lundin
