Holiday Party 2023

One of Terra’s long-standing traditions is a company-wide holiday party, and that tradition continued this year with a bang! Lunch was provided by Roli Roti Gourmet Rotisserie and Catering; they rolled in, set up, and started serving within just a few minutes. The crews enjoyed games of skill and chance before sitting down to eat, and we even had a few karaoke numbers to keep the day festive. Award Winning Makeover

Each year, a panel of judges from the California Landscape Contractors’ Association (CLCA) awards prizes to its members for outstanding landscape projects. This year, CLCA’s East Bay Chapter chose Terra Landscape as the Achievement Award winner for an entry makeover in Walnut Creek. The project involved reworking an outdated irrigation system, placing local boulders, and installing drought-adapted plants. To keep costs down, we incorporated rivers stones that were already on site. The end result was a multi-textured,…

Each spring, two important dates mark support for environmental protection. We celebrate these days because we take our commitment to the planet seriously.  Earth Day has been celebrated in April annually in the US since 1970 and eventually around the world. Last year, an estimated 1 billion people participated in Earth Day events. This year’s theme is Invest in Our Planet with an emphasis on guaranteeing a healthy future for the coming generations. Volunteer Event at UC Berkeley

On March 15, a team from Terra attended an event organized by the East Bay Chapter of the California Landscape Contractors Association. This was a day of volunteer service at the world-renowned University of California Botanical Garden at Berkeley. The project involved replacing decaying timber steps in the Garden’s Redwood Grove section, as well as working on paths to prevent washouts and clearing fallen branches after the recent windstorms. Lunch was provided. Donating labor to projects like this is a good way to give back…

Of course music is always included, and this year, we had a live Mariachi band! Our new headquarters in San Leandro offered plenty of space for tables and chairs, a catering truck, and the aforementioned live entertainment (great acoustics!). On June 4, 2022, the California Landscape Contractors Association (CLCA) led a volunteer event to assist the Oakland Zoo with the installation of their new Browse Garden. The Browse Garden will grow a variety of plants and provide a local food source for animals at the zoo.  Terra Landscape partnered with other CLCA members in donating materials and personnel to support the new installation.
